Spend the day searching for information on how to bead on the internet and you'll come across a whole array of patterns. You'll notice that most sites offer some free how to bead patterns and also sell them individually or in book. However, you need to be aware that there are many different types of "beading"
There's making jewelry with beads and string, there's beads and wire, bead knitting, bead crochet, bead looming and more, so its very easy to get confused.
Most people new to beading start off with simply threading a few beads on string or nylon and making a bracelet or perhaps some very basic earrings.
Here's one of my most popular free "how to bead" patterns below for you to try.
Memory wire Bracelet
Skill level- Beginner
Allow 30 Mins
What you will need
12 inch length of memory wire
Assorted Beads:
8 medium green beads
5 Large Green Beads
3 small green beads
15 medium pink beads
3 large pink beads
3 small pink beads
4 star shaped beads (or anything similar)
Head pin
Round Nose pliers
Strong Cutters (to cut memory wire)
Instructions
1.
Take the 12 inches of memory wire turning one end back on itself making a small loop with your round nose pliers.2. Thread the beads onto the wire in a pattern of various colours and sizes remembering to double up your pink medium beads until full.
3. Bend the wire round twice in a circle. Thread three beads onto a head pin, cut to required length and make a loop.
4. Attach this to one end of the bracelet.
